Oh, goody.
So, the software implementation I have been working on for 9+ months (and been on hold since end of April) is finally underway again as of Monday. As of Tuesday, we have come to a screeching halt ONCE AGAIN because of interfacing issues.
We use software to do estimates on a large A/V system for a home, including lighting control, house automation, etc. That software has partnered with another company to send information over to it, in terms of customer info, and sales quotes, etc, so we can actually effectively manage our time. This interface has never worked. It has always had issues, and the reason it came to a screeching halt was due to a HUGE problem that was on the original software's side. We were told it would be fixed in the latest release (which we got late last week, hence why we started back up on Monday).
Guess what? We don't know if it's fixed, because the software it interfaces with CAN'T TALK TO THE NEW VERSION. Congratulations, bend over, it's goin' in dry. The owner of my company is going to lose her mind, and I think very bad things will happen for everyone involved. (Not me, just the other companies, etc). We have bought and paid for $25,000+ worth of software, over 9 months ago, and it has been on hold for months, waiting for this release to fix the glaring issues we still had - and now it won't work, period. I don't even want to contemplate this anymore.
